The girl who kicked her mother in law out of her house

A little family drama broke the internet and has all the internet neighbours eavesdropping through their phones. Reddit is a place of wonder and it has proved that again. A subreddit called AITA (Am I the A**hole?) where people post their moral dilemmas. Others vote for who they think is the real culprit of the situation.
This is about a post from User Xoxo76757, who wants to keep her real name private or was unfortunately named after a password. Xoxo (our nickname for her) is 26 years old lady and is married to a 34-year-old man for 9 months.
One fine day, Xoxo’s mother-in-law visits their home randomly. I am all into surprises but my enthusiasm goes a little low when that means extra dishes. Nonetheless, Xoxo treated her well, even though she thinks her MIL is meh.
Things took a weird turn when the MIL asked to sleep in the master bedroom alone. She insisted on locking the door for whatever funny business she needed to do in privacy while invading her daughter-in-law’s privacy.
Xoxo found this strange and respectfully declined. She gave other choices like the fully functional guest room, mattresses, couch, etc. Her MIL rejected those options. The husband too agreed to let the mother sleep in their room for it was for only one night.
This disagreement resulted in an argument between Xoxo and her MIL. Xoxo explained that her important belongings are in the master bedroom and she isn’t comfortable being separated from it for the whole night.
The MIL tried to involve Xoxo’s husband by saying, “Don’t you just stand there! Say something!”. Guess what, the husband took his mum’s side. Xoxo then went on to suggest booking a hotel room for her MIL. The mother in law considered this as an act of abandoning her out of the house and started crying.

Finally, at 12am the MIL proceeded to a hotel room. This made the husband very upset and he went on to have a fight with Xoxo. He reminded her that the bedroom was not only hers but also his and she had treated a guest poorly. Yes, he’s talking about the same GUEST who wouldn’t sleep in the GUEST ROOM.
He proceeded to book a hotel room with his mum and left the place. He blamed Xoxo for bridging the gap between him and his family. The mother-in-law went home and told everyone about this episode making Xoxo the villain. To be honest I think she was really badass for holding her grounds.
But her husband’s words made her question her decision. She asked for votes on Reddit and guess what! Reddit showered her with love and logic.

Many people pointed out how it’s the husband’s fault. Others said the mother-in-law was being sneaky. Few people went to the extreme of suggesting lawyers and divorce.
