How Did Miah Cerrillo Manage To Survive in Texas
Miah Cerrillo is an 11-year-old girl who studies in Uvalde’s elementary school. This brave girl was also present in the school building along with her friends at the time of the attack. Miah is one of the lucky survivors of Texas’s elementary school attack. In an interview with one of the famous news channels, she shared her traumatic experience with the world.
She started from the beginning. When she and her class were watching the movie “Lilo And Stitch” inside the classroom with their teachers, this was the time when one of her teachers got word about the shooter through an email. She added that one teacher went to the door to lock it, but it was too late. The shooter was already there and shot her through the door’s window.
Miah described the whole tragedy so fast that she could not understand anything. She said that the 18-year-old gunman accessed the class by following one of her teachers. He shot her dead by looking straight into her eyes and saying, “Goodnight.” Afterward, he opened fire on another teacher and many friends of Miah. Stating about herself, Miah said that fragments of bullets hit her head and shoulder, for which she is under treatment.
In a situation of worry and hassle, this brave little angel somehow managed to survive the gunman. Miah saved herself from the young murderer by smudging the blood of her fellows and playing dead. After shooting her fellow mates and teachers, the victim said that the gunman then went to another classroom. Later she heard the screams and sound of firing in that classroom. According to Miah, the gunman started playing loud, sad music after knocking everyone down. Miah is still in a big shock and suffering from trauma.

Miah Cerrillo is a student in Robb Elementary School in 5th grade and a survivor of the massacre. Aside from this, she is not only the survivor of the school attack but also a brave girl who survived an abdominal tumor. Miah’s Mother stated to the channel that she had been diagnosed with a tumor in the abdomen. Doctors were hopeless, but she went through extensive surgery to remove that tumor later. The whole procedure was done when she was only 3 years old. Considering this, Mrs. Cerrillo has already given her the name “Miracle Baby,” which she believes is even true now.
The Mother also shared a coincidence that happened hours before the tragedy. She told the news that Miah was suffering from earache, for which she took a half-day leave from school to visit the doctor. After leaving the doctor, Miah and her Mother stopped at Starbucks, where she was offered a full day off from school. The Aftermath
Before deciding between not skipping school, Miah did not know what would happen there. Her life was going to change just one hour after reaching school. First the shooting, then the gunman named Salvador Ramos, her teachers and fellow friends, and the escape plan. Everything she and other students had to face was such a terrific situation. Miah’s presence is why the police managed to reach the school. After smearing herself with her mate’s blood, she got her hands on one of her teacher’s phones. Call 911 and ask for help.
