Claire Foy Took Legal Action against the Stalker


The multi-award winner, Claire Foy, finally took legal action against the delusional crazy stalker. The actor of the popular Netflix drama, the crown, appealed for the SPO.
The case went to court, where Claire Foy stated the events of the past months. Claire claimed that she had been Mr Jason’s target since November 2021. She even had to call the cops for help when the stalker appeared in front of her door. The obsessed man came to her door and repeatedly rang the doorbell making her scared. In February, Claire filed a complaint against Mr Jason Penrose and appealed to the court for Stalker Protection Order.
Judge Oliver, the judge hearing Ms Claire Foy’s case, ordered out interim SPO. The judge ordered Mr Jason to stay away from Claire Foy and restricted him from direct or indirect contact. However, Interim SPO did not stop Penrose. A month later, after the court issued interim SPO, he sent Claire a letter with a parcel. Breaching the court’s restriction order, Mr Jason is back on stalking Claire Foy, heightening the danger for the actor.
On behalf of the Metropolitan Police, Rosa Bennathan informed the court that Mr Penrose posed as a film director and producer. He disguised himself as wanting her to feature in his upcoming project. He allegedly contacted the actor’s sister and agency, learned where she lived, and repeatedly rang her doorbell. The Met has filed for a full SPO, which prevents suspected stalkers from contacting or approaching victims. Moreover, the criminal investigation is ongoing.
Stalker, Stay Away! For Five Years: Claire Foy

Claire Foy played the role of Queen Elizabeth II in the first two seasons of the blockbuster Netflix series. For several months, Mr Jason allegedly stalked her. At High bury Corner, the Magistrates’ Court issued an interim stalking protection order (SPO) against Mr Penrose. According to court records, he lives at a hotel in Paddington, west London. The court restricted him from contacting Claire or visiting any other location where he may reasonably anticipate her. Amanda Gibbon, the bench’s chairperson, said the ruling was appropriate. As in Claire case, the alleged victim’s behaviours went from a series of emails to a personal visit. It heightened the danger for Claire Foy.
NHS employees accompanied Penrose throughout the hearing, who provided his address as Highgate Mental Health Centre. District Judge Michael Oliver stated during the hearing, “Based on the evidence, I am certain that Mr Penrose has committed behaviours connected with stalking.”
Lawyer Moira McFarlane represented Mr Penrose when he appeared in court without representation. She delayed and stated that her client’s mental health was “still under issue.” The postponed hearing was until July 22, and the interim SPO prolong until July 28th or 30th. A violation of the injunction might result in criminal charges. Magistrate Clive Jenkin instructed Mr Penrose not to contact Claire Foy, her family, or her agency.
