The Aquaman 2 famed actress Amber Heard seeks to appeal the June verdict in her high-profile defamation case against Johnny Depp.
The legal team representing Aquaman 2 actress argued that the ruling was flawed. Elaine Bredehoft, Ms Heard’s attorney, stated in a Virginia court on Friday that the case got closed on flawed legal logic. The Aquaman famous actress’s legal team claimed the ruling was improperly vetted and contained excessive awarded damages.

However, she didn’t mention Depp’s name but insinuated that he had abused her in the post.

Heard clarified that she was unhappy with the results from the court trial in an announcement made public after the decision. She tweeted the day following the ruling, stating that she was disappointed. Amber Heard claimed that the pieces of evidence presented at the court weren’t enough to hold my stance firm. She tweeted her feelings with the words of disappointment, undue power, and the influences of Depp.
The lawyer for Depp, however, has dismissed the appeal. The attorney said to Courthouse News that the request is as expected, more prolonged and no more significant.

The supporters who were supportive of Heard were also loud on social media but mainly were drowned out by Depp’s fans. A few of them even cheered on Depp in person at the courthouse.
