Though today’s the struggles of finding a caring home. It’s about Dahlia. She is a Terrier mix breed who has been at the shelter of Humane Society in Santa Barbara since 6 months old. She hoped for a family but had to stay patient for the next 7 years.
She stayed at the shelter and watched her friends get adopted. The shelter couldn’t find a home for Dahlia. So they turned to help from social media. They uploaded a video of Dahlia to shed light on her story.
They described Dahlia as sweet, loyal, loving and the best snuggle buddy. The video blew up and attracted many enquiries about her. A man from Orange County felt the instant connection and drove to the shelter.
Dahlia is finally adopted after 2531 days of the long wait. She loves her new owner and has found her “forever home”. The shelter rejoiced to present gratitude on social media, they said, “We are over the moon! For all of you that asked about how Dahlia is doing…she has found her forever home!! Thank you to everyone that shared her story and reached out to us!”
