The second season of the popular Netflix series Wednesday starring Jenna Ortega must have fans eagerly anticipating what will happen, but it appears that one figure Pubert Addams from Addams Family mythology won’t be making an appearance.
Numerous iconic Addams Family members including the titular Wednesday Addams, her brother Pugsley, their parents Gomez and Morticia Addams, as well as some more minor figures like Cousin Itt and Grandmama, are reimagined in the popular television series. Wednesday season 2 must overcome new obstacles to match the success of season 1. Thing and other well-known figures give Wednesday a lot of support as she makes her way through high school. There is one more Addams that is glaringly absent and is unlikely to ever appear with Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday, although Gomez, Morticia, and Pugsley have supporting roles.
One character, though, hasn’t appeared in the Addams Family universe since 1993’s The Addams Family Values, so it’s unlikely that they’ll ever appear on the show.
Pubert Addams- A well-known character
Pubert Addams is a well-known character that is absent from Wednesday but who plays a significant part in The Addams Family Values. The Addams family faces additional difficulties after his birth in The Addams Family Values. Because they believe he is their replacement, Wednesday and Pugsley frequently attempt to kill him. Pubert is fortunate enough to avoid their efforts, which include delaying a guillotine. The youngest Addams would be a welcome addition, and Wednesday season 2 should take a deeper dive into horror. Pubert, who electrocutes Debbie when she tries to kill the family in The Addams Family Values, emerges as the film’s hero.
Pubert Addams receives a harsher narrative and is only briefly acknowledged in Addams Family Reunion. Wednesday claimed Pugsley devoured her and Pugsley’s younger sibling. Although the casts of The Addams Family Values and Addams Family Reunion are completely different, the suggestion of a younger brother connects the two tales, suggesting that Wednesday and Pugsley may have been successful in getting rid of their infant brother. The arrival of Pubert Addams pushes Wednesday and Pugsley to cooperate rather than engage in conflict.
Pubert’s Appearance in Season 2
Given Wednesday’s age, Pubert Addams most likely won’t make a physical appearance in season 2 of Wednesday. In The Addams Family movies, Wednesday’s age changes, but she i as older than Pugsley. In “Quid Pro Woe,” Wednesday commemorates his sixteenth birthday. Pugsley is younger, and although it’s not clear how old he is, “Wednesday’s Child is Full of Woe” depicts him being crammed into a locker at the high school. Pugsley is therefore probably a young adolescent on Wednesday. Wednesday, on the other hand, is the younger of the two in 1964 The Addams Family series. Although it’s possible, it’s incredibly unlikely that Gomez and Morticia will continue to have kids while raising their two high schoolers. He was a baby, which was unsettling, to say the least, but a baby with a mustache like his father Gomez.
If you’ve never heard of him, don’t panic. He played a significant role in that movie from 30 years ago, but other than that, he hasn’t appeared anyplace else in the Addams universe.
Attempt to end Addams family
Pubert Addams saves the day in that movie by electrocuting the machiavellian Debbie as she attempts to end the Addams family’s existence for good. The figure is then brought up again in a later movie, Addams Family Reunion, but it wasn’t good news for the moustachioed infant. At one point, Wednesday even related a story about their brother, saying that they once had a baby brother but Pugsley devoured him. The infant is unlikely to show up in the series, even though it takes place in a different reality for a variety of reasons, including this. Another is the characters’ ages; Wednesday became 16 in season one, while Pugsley also seemed to be a high schooler, albeit a younger one. Even though it’s doubtful, Gomez and Morticia may soon welcome a new child. However, the story of what happened to Pubert may be told once more.
Another factor is that Pubert Addams joined the Addams Family clan somewhat belatedly in more ways than one.
Final Note
Is it conceivable that the baby will make an appearance on the Netflix show given that neither the original comic strip nor the early 1960s TV series included the infant? For the second season, it’s more probable that they’ll concentrate on the current family as well as some fans have proposed turning up the horror. Since the first season hasn’t even been out that long, it’s still very early in the game. However, that won’t stop viewers of the program from becoming anticipatory and speculating about what might be in store for season two.
