In a tweet with four brand-new photos, the official Twitter account of the streaming service announced the return of the program.
John B (Chase Stokes), Madelyn Cline (Sarah Cameron), JJ (Rudy Pankow), Pope (Jonathan Daviss), and Kiara (Madison Bailey) are all back in action as The Fab Five.
Cleo, a newbie to season 2, may also be seen hunched over with the group in the grass with Carlacia Grant.
Until next month, viewers will have to wait to learn what or who the youngsters are hiding from, but we’re inclined to bet it has something to do with Sarah’s ominous father, Ward Cameron (Charles Esten).
Season 2
When season two debuted in the summer of 2021, Ward was determined to exact revenge on John B because Sarah had sided with the Pogues.
As he attempted to shield Sarah’s older brother Rafe (Drew Starkey) from the repercussions of his actions, Ward and Sarah squared off in the heated season two conclusion.
Rafe had so far avoided being apprehended, detained, or charged for the murder of Sheriff Peterkin (Adina Porter), with Ward engineering events to make it seem like John B was to blame. Rafe’s anger issues and drug use spiralled out of control.
As Sarah has now been wholly allied with the Pogues, the group is able to flee from Ward and Rafe by settling on a barren island they have named Poguelandia.
Daredevil and hothead JJ can be seen scaling a tree with a white flag and the words “Poguelandia” on it in one of the first look photos for the forthcoming season, which premieres on February 23.
The sheriff’s office back in North Carolina looks into the Pogues’ absence, and in the closing scene, we find out that John B’s long-lost father, John Routledge (also known as Big John), who we all believed to be dead, is actually alive.
Thankfully, the time between now and when we return to North Carolina is short.
The drama, which follows a group of kids as they look into what happened to their friend John, is set in the Outer Banks of North Carolina for those who want to catch up before the next season debuts.
Now that 2023 has arrived, Outer Banks Season 3 can begin. We have been impatiently awaiting any updates on the popular drama, and now Netflix has announced the third season’s launch date.
Outer bank season 3
We anticipate Season 3 to be full of more action and adventure because John B. (Chase Stokes) and his companions are constantly searching for the next prize.
The Pogues were pursuing the coveted Cross of Santo Domingo when we last saw them in the Outer Banks Season 2 finale. The Pogues were unable to obtain the ultimate prize, but at least they largely avoided harm.
A significant query for Outer Banks Season 3 is: After it is revealed that Big John (Charles Halford), John B.’s father, is still alive, what will happen? Undoubtedly, we are hoping for a father-and-son get-together.
The series, which is set in North Carolina’s Outer Banks, centers around a group of teenagers known as the Pogues, who John B. refers to as being the “lowest member of the food chain.”
Outer Banks Season 3 will debut on Netflix on February 23, according to a statement made on January 3. Fun fact: Madelyn Cline, who plays Sarah Cameron, unintentionally revealed this date in a Young Hollywood interview from last year. We are overjoyed that the Pogues will be back in just a few weeks!
First look
Netflix also unveiled the debut date and the first look pictures for Outer Banks Season 3. On what looks to be Poguelandia, there is a picture of John B., Sarah, and Cleo (Carlacia Grant) each gazing at something with varying degrees of excitement.
We also need to discuss this first-look photo of Kie (Madison Bailey) and JJ sharing a private moment (Rudy Pankow). OMG, will these two best friends in Outer Banks Season 3 finally fall in love?
The Pope and Cleo teaser by Jonathan Daviss and Grant was also released by Netflix. We’re thrilled that Grant will become a series regular in Season 3 and can’t wait to see how Cleo’s relationships with the Pogues develop.
