Original video story:
This barista named Ellie shared a TikTok video that has 541,000 viewers to date in which she shared her experience and announced quitting the job before actually doing it. The video gathered the attention of many audiences because it’s a very contrasting story to listen to.
She explained that her manager interviewed multiple people and was excited when he told her that the prospective candidate had not any tattoos or piercings. and she felt embarrassed about it because she thinks does having jewelry on her face or other gross things like tattoos really affect any human skills or they reduce someone’s ability to do work or any job.
Audience in support of her:
Multiple suggestions and reviews arouse over this video. Many people are supporting her by the fact that it’s everyone’s own choice what to do with their appearance, it’s nothing related to a job. of course, there happens a dress code everywhere that has to be followed but it’s someone’s independent choice whatever to be made on the body surfaces or having multiple piercings. Some people defending with the fact that only most lowest-paid and weird companies have such restrictive nonsensical rules. A person wrote that he works in the medical field with many elder patients and not once has he been told anything about my nose ring, visible tattoos, and flashy hair color.
Another one told his story that McDonald’s wrote him up for not taking out his eyebrow ring No customer ever noticed and No one cared about it was stuck in his face and he couldn’t extract it but the company made the excuses that “it could fall in the food and contaminate”

Some people are loving Gen Z because They are unapologetically themselves in a way no generation has ever been able to be. They love that youngsters don’t let everyone tell them how to think, feel, and act. They openly do whatever they want and feel no shame in it because it’s every human own right to set a life that pleases him and that is not restricted by anyone. That’s the reason why kids newly grow up and turn into fresh adults. They feel bad when they’re told about many rules and things by their parents. They often become rebellious. They want to do things in their own comfort zone and try to protect their personal space no matter how. Some people are in support the opinion that they pay a lot of money for their piercings and tattoos so they should be able to do what they want with their bodies.
Opposition points:
But some people have opinions in opposition. They think nose rings look gross, it’s a hygiene thing why restaurants,s, etc do not want servers with nose rings. It’s a food safety issue if by chance any piece of metal jewelry falls into it this will cause damage to human health. They also suggest that If it’s a private company they have every right to set a dress code. Right or wrong it’s their choice. Just like it’s your choice to have a nose ring. You don’t have to accept their choice and they don’t have to accept yours. None of that should ever determine the way someone works. Companies have an image to maintain. If you don’t like it, enjoy your job search. If she doesn’t want to be part of a company, she can go somewhere that likes that look.
Final words :
Bosses generally don’t like gross and sharp-looking employees because they fear it affects your ability to be controlled. Not necessarily the ability to do the job itself. They want innocent nondescript workers under them so that they can easily control their abilities and can get more work without having them realize the burden.
